Committee discussed ways in which the whole department can become involved in the Athena Swan
Award, which benefits everyone, and looked at practical actions to spread awareness and discussion.
The proposals to share offices in the department were raised and general consensus was that further
clarification required about how this would be done, with greater emphasis on the EDI considerations
that need to be more widely understood and actively applied to any plans.
Initiatives will be put in place in 2022 for all students and staff, that encourage active participation and
contribution to EDI principles and practice, based on an action plan that all will take part in agreeing.
