Business Travel Insurance - Overseas and UK travel

You don’t need travel insurance for UK trips unless you are flying or staying overnight and want to cover personal possessions, money or business equipment e.g. laptops. For safety reasons, always ensure that your line manager (or a colleague) is aware of your UK travel plans and that they have your contact details.  

The University does not provide motor insurance cover. If you wish to travel by car, you must ensure that insurance cover is in place.  When hiring vehicles from other suppliers, you must take out their motor insurance cover (also known as Collision Damage Waiver). The University strongly recommends booking with the contracted travel supplier unless they cannot provide the option you need.
