How to add hyperlinks into Tableau reports - specifically the homepage to help users get more information and context for their data. 

Step by step guide: 

  1. Publish the report to TableauTest

  2. Viewing the report in the Test server, click on the ‘Edit’ button in the blue Tableau menu:

 

  1. This lets you edit the report within the browser and add a hyperlink via the text editor:

 

  1. Once the links are added, download the report again

  2. From the newly downloaded report in Tableau Desktop you can upload it to Tableau Server and the links will remain intact
