What is Graduate Outcomes?
Graduate Outcomes is a survey carried out by HESA, sent to university leavers 15 months after they’ve completed their studies. The survey seeks to understand graduates’ employment status and how their studies have contributed to their destination.
More about the survey can be found on HESA’s Graduate Outcomes website.
Survey Analysis
SIA conducts analysis of York’s performance in the Graduate Outcomes Survey as well as sector wide analysis for benchmarking purposes.
Analysis of York’s performance is referred to as ‘Graduate Outcomes York’ and is published annually to the Tableau Server. It is based on answers to every question given by York graduates.
The sector analysis is conducted after Graduate Outcomes York is published and is based on data purchased from HESA (funded by the Careers department). The sector data purchased is not a comprehensive set of every answer to every question across the sector. Instead specific questions are selected in consultation with the careers team to allow for top level, longitudinal analysis of sector wide trends.
