Some academics may wish to use cloud computing for their research.  A number of organisations often offer free credits for research or teaching activities. Below we will produce a summary on how to access cloud facilities with information on applying for credits if they are being offered.

AWS

If you wish to use AWS for your research we ask that you apply for an account that exists under the UOY organisation.  This will make it easier for us to support you. There is a wiki page describing how to obtain a UOY cloud account /wiki/spaces/CLOUD/pages/49054040

It is often possible to obtain free AWS credits for research.  The following page describes the procedure.
