Student Wellbeing Officer (SWO)

Student Wellbeing Officers provide departmental based support for a variety of student welfare issues.  They provide a “listening ear”, a space for students to discuss any concerns or struggles and can help students navigate the sources of support available.

SWOs are not able to provide counselling or therapeutic interventions but they can provide practical advice and wellbeing support.

Jacqui Baker is the dedicated SWO for the Department of Psychology and is based in the department on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Students can book an appointment by emailing Daisy Whitwood directly daisy.whitwood@york.ac.uk
