Overview
The UX Group has presented UX information and undertaken a number of successful UX projects within the Library and IT over the last few years. The lists below will allow you to navigate the accumulated knowledge and experience over this period.

This isn't an exhaustive list of our project outputs, but provides a good overview of what we've done and how we've disseminated our findings.
- June 2022: UXLibs VI presentation on UX culture at the library - presentation link (and year book article) to follow
- April 2021: Article by Alice Bennett and Lilian Soon for ALISS Quarterly | User research with disabled students (PDF)
- December 2019: The YorSearch Improvement Project was conducted over the course of a year, featuring three rounds of ethnography and the implementation of a new Library Catalogue User Interface. - November 2019: UX at York: embedding ethnography and design - a keynote delivered at the Stellenbosch University Library Symposium. | Blogpost with embedded video recording
- November 2019: A large UX project on the entrance space of the Morrell Library, known as UX Space, resulted in a complete redesign. This included successfully bidding for funding to build a Fabrick Wall. | Building the Fabrick Wall blogpost
- September 2019: English as Second Language - a presentation on a UX-led project run within Customer Services, delivered at Northern Collaboration Conference. | ESL UX Project Presentation

- November 2018: Keynote at the Stellenbosch University Library Symposium, South Africa | UX at York: Embedding Ethnography & Design

- March 2017: A presentation on starting small and scaling up UX, delivered at the Northern Collaboration UX Conference | UX at York on Slideshare
- February 2017: UX, Ethnography and Possibilities - a presentation delivered at the Libraries, Archives and Museums Marketing Awards in Wales, which has now been viewed over 1 million times online | UX, Ethnography and Possibilities on Slideshare

- September 2015: Emma Grey (our UX Intern) wrote a report on our very first UX Project, covering study space, finding resources, and noise levels among other things. Several design changes eventually came out of this project. | Summer UX Report (York log-in required)
Projects
This is a chronological list of all the projects we've undertaken since 2015 which have involved or been driven by UX methodologies.
