Departmental Community Coordinators We have two students employed as Departmental Community Coordinators (DCCs): Veniamin Shiron and Phillipa Scamell. These students help promote and organise social events in the Department. | |
Student Connect Student Connect re-launched on Friday 15th October. If you are struggling to make friends, or just like getting to know new people, Student Connect is an innovative buddying scheme that matches students from their course or college, allowing them to expand their Uni network. | |
The Student Buddying Scheme The Student Buddying Scheme matches new undergraduates with a Student Buddy. These students have a first point of contact who will share their own experiences and be on hand (either in person or over email) with friendly advice. | |
Colleges Colleges run many activities and events as well as having committees and volunteering opportunities for students to get involved with. They also provide listening ear/support services that can help support students in getting involved with clubs and societies and meeting new people. | This links lists all of the University’s colleges and provides links to their individual websites where you can find contact information. |
University of York Student's Union Clubs and Societies York SU provides lots of information and support for the social side of University life. The clubs and society directory is particularly useful. | |
