1. When the module delivery sheet for the following year is circulated, please check your activities and specify if a GTA is needed or not, and if so, how many.
2. Lucy will use this information to then circulate to our PhD students (and sometimes other departments too). Candidates will need to specify their working hours, which modules they would like to work on, and provide a CV.
3. Lucy will circulate the candidates to module leaders. You will need to look at their CVs and rate them accordingly. It is important to rate all eligible candidates, as unfortunately due to clashes and time restraints, you may not be assigned your first choice.
4. Lucy will be in touch about any changes and will readvertise modules that have not had enough interest. In this time, you can also approach anyone you know who might be suitable, as long as you let Lucy know at environment-hr@york.ac.uk.
5. All the information will be finalised on the GTA spreadsheet, which you will have access to view. If you there are any changes to be made, let Lucy know asap.
6. Make sure you communicate with your assigned GTAs and provide any relevant resources and training before they partake in any work. You will need to set expectations.
