As an Open Research Advocate you will be a local champion for good open research practice in your discipline. We are looking for volunteers to engage and support research students and staff in a variety of open research practices including (but not limited to) open access publication, open data and code, research transparency and reproducibility.

Any member of the University of York with an interest in open research can become an advocate. You do not need to be an expert in any specific practices, there will be numerous opportunities to expand your knowledge with support from Library colleagues and to learn from other Advocates in the community.

Please refer to the Guiding Principles (link opens in Google Docs) for further information about Advocate responsibilities, benefits and the support which will be provided.
