The Open Research team work in partnership with PGRs and staff to help you plan, publish, preserve and share your research. The team are running a series of drop-in clinics to mark International Open Access Week, providing an opportunity for researchers to discuss your work and get advice on any issues you have encountered. aspects of open research in their work and to find out more about open research at York activities and the work of our Graduate Engagement Leads.
In-person sessions are taking place in each faculty from 11am-1pm on the following dates:
- Monday 23 October - BB/103 (Biology)
- Wednesday 25 October - BS/007 - Jane Moody Boardroom (Humanities Research Centre)
- Friday 27 October - LMB/021 (Law and Sociology)
These are informal drop-in sessions , there open to University of York staff and students at all levels. There is no need to book an appointment and researchers do not need to belong to the department or faculty in order to attend. The team There will also have be some free open research merchandise available for attendees!
The team are also running Building Research and Innovation Capacity (BRIC) online training workshops during the week:
- Tuesday 24 October, 4-5pm - Making your publications open access (SkillsForge - PGRs or LMS - Staff)
- Thursday 26 October, 2-3pm - Your research profile, reputation and impact - an introduction to bibliometrics (SkillsForge - PGRs or LMS - Staff)
If you cannot make any of the above sessions, the team also have online appointments available for staff and PGRs from 11am10am-12pm on Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 October, which can be booked in advance through TargetConnect.
