From Maddy Elliot:

"In lieu of spending money on a Christmas party this year, could you donate a little something to York Foodbank, given how many people have been left in a difficult situation this year because of Covid-19, having lost their jobs, etc?  Here is a link to one of York Foodbank's web pages, which gives details of where you can leave your donations (for example at supermarkets).

https://york.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/

I emailed them at the weekend and apparently their most needed items at the moment are Christmassy items, such as puddings, cakes, chocolates, selection boxes and toiletry gift sets, as well as the usual items like tinned fruit and toilet rolls.

Thanks, everyone"
