Here is the list of mandatory training that you must complete when you start at the university.

Beyond that, there is lots of training available to staff, most of which is accessed by the Learning Management System (LMS).

Please refer to the sabbatical information and application document for 2023-24. The deadline has been extended to 28th October 2022.

The university also has a number of mentoring and coaching schemes.

In the department there are also a number of mentoring schemes:

• Your line manager should help you identify a suitable mentor, if necessary
• PhD students and ECRs have organised a mentoring  scheme to aid career development. Contact the PhD reps for more information.
• Undergraduates have a buddy scheme where stage 2-4 students can buddy up with a stage 1 student. Email Chair of Board of Studies for more info and advertise to your supervisees.
