All new starters to the University (i.e. not transferring from another Department/University role) will need to complete a probation. Lucy will email you with a probation form for your new starter before they start. Please use this form for your meetings.

It is important that you refresh your memory of the probation procedure. You should hold an initial meeting during the first few weeks.

Lucy will send you reminders of when these meetings are due. Please remember to email her (environment-hr@york.ac.uk) when you have completed a meeting, and if you need any guidance/support in the process.

(warning) All ART staff probation documents need to be signed off by the Dean at each stage, with a CV sent for the final sign off.
